Description The D8 concept was developed by MIT/Aurora as part of the NASA Subsonic Fixed Wing N+3 Transport studies in 2010. This was led by Mark Drela of MIT, and consists of a double bubble (horizontal) fuselage, high aspect ratio wing, dual vertical tails, with engines that utilize the upper fuselage boundary layer ingestion (not currently modeled).
