Description | Dimensions as listed in the SR22 POH and Maintenance Manual for all the major dimensions (applicable for 2007+). Wing: Planform and dihedral are per drawings. Airfoil is modeled as a NLF0414, though the actual SR22 airfoil is unknown. Twist is ad-hoc (linear: -3 deg). Tips were modeled based on pictures. Ailerons are positioned and sized per the drawings. Flap area is per the drawing, span is slightly shorter. Flaps are simply hinged, whereas flaps on the actual SR22 have a pivot point well below the wing surface. Tail: H-tail and V-tail per drawings. Elevator and rudder size and placement is close to drawings (control balance horns were not modeled). Fuselage: Cross-sections are approximate (critical dimensions were used were available and blended based on pictures). Landing gear wheels are place correctly, struts and pants were modeled based on pictures. Aero with VLM (without actuator disk) were spot checked and appear plausible. No structure. No mass properties. |
