Description	The NASA Puffin is a tailsitter VTOL 1-person 'Gridlock Commuter' electric aircraft. It is designed for short ranges and to achieve a breakthrough in ultra low noise through the combination of very low tip speed, electric motors, and variable speed/pitch prop-rotors. The powertrain is designed as a completely redundant system that can accomodate failure of any 2 pieces and still produce full power. Many technical reports on the design details are available from Mark Moore of NASA Langley.
