Description This model represents the LA-8 aircraft which was designed by the RapidPACT team of NASA Langley Research Center according to their goal of demonstrating a rapid prototyping technique and testing process that would inform subsequent iterations of an aircraft design. The aircraft is a combined tiltwing-deflected slipstream vehicle. This model is a conceptual design model used in computational performance and stability analyses and does not allow for any detailed mechanical design or manufacturing work where it serves as a basis. This model was based off of Figure 6 of NASA/TM-2020-220437.
